
The recipient of a doctorate in educational and organizational leadership from National Louis University, Matthew Eriksen began his career as an English teacher at Highland Middle School in Libertyville, IL, before joining Edgewood Middle School as associate principal in 2007. Over the next two years, Matthew Eriksen helped supervise students and staff at the Highland Park, IL, school while managing several organizational development initiatives, including developing a policy handbook.
In 2009, Dr. Eriksen accepted the position of principal at Edgewood. Over the next eight years, he spearheaded several major projects, including a $10 million safety initiative, which involved collaborating with local agencies, developing new traffic management protocol, and redesigning the layout of administrative offices. He also developed extensive experience with zero-based budgeting, team-building strategies, and process improvements during this time.
Dr. Eriksen draws upon this experience in his current role as CEO, president, and lead consultant at 4XF, Inc. There, he offers consulting services, such as business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales strategies, analytics, process development, and branding to an organizational and institutional client base that includes school districts, small businesses, and other clients. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys a diverse range of hobbies, including traveling, golfing, and completing DIY projects.
